The Bicciato Lab focuses on designing and applying innovative bioinformatics methods to organize, analyze, and visualize large-scale omics data, transforming molecular signals into biological insight. From a methodological perspective, our research encompasses the creation of computational approaches, resources, and tools for:
- integrating multi-omics and phenotypic data to reveal hidden biological connections
- exploring the epigenome and 3D genome architecture
- modeling biological systems through computational systems biology
- decoding cellular diversity with single-cell and spatial genomics approaches
On the applied side, the Bicciato Lab collaborates closely with experimental biologists to investigate the genomic foundations of complex biological systems, with a particular emphasis on cancer, immune regulation, and neurosciences.
